5 New Food and Drink Ideas For Small Businesses

5 New Food and Drink Ideas For Small Businesses

Food and drink companies are always on the lookout for fresh ideas to give their consumers. Here are some of my favorite ideas that are sure to help you increase sales.

  1. Feel Free to Try Something New

I decided to explore the possibilities of making my own drinks and food products, just for the fun of it. The idea was to make something like the “lady's drink” which I love but without too much alcohol content and the high price tag. I tried to mix together lime juice, whiskey, and soda water and used a recipe book as a guide to help me create the perfect cocktail. You can definitely save dollars when you get your ingredients from a wholesale drink supplier.

I served it to my family first and they simply love it! As for my customers, it became the bestseller.

So feel free to explore other beverages like smoothies. You can even reinvent food like cookies and cakes with soda, and so on. Contacting your nearest Coca Cola Supplier in your area would be a smart idea.

  1. Don’t Be Afraid To “Sell Out” Your Customers

In the food and beverage industry, there's always been an unspoken fear of selling out. People are afraid to let their customers down. But the reality is, this strategy works. I tried it during peak season when everyone would love to dine in.

Telling them that my top seller is sold out gave me an opportunity to introduce my new recipe. If they try and like it, they'll become curious about the rest of my dishes and beverages. That makes them keep coming back!

  1. Make Customers Feel Important

To make customers feel important, restaurateurs must be committed to their success and their experience. When the customer arrives at my restaurant, I trained my staff to greet him or her and get right down to the matter at hand. He or she should be greeted by name, shown to a table, given a menu, and served quickly with the correct order. A good waiter will listen intently to what the customer is asking for and provide a solution that meets his or her needs.

  1. Reward Customers for Their Loyalty

If you're looking to encourage repeat customers, reward loyalty. A number of recent studies show that offering rewards, such as discounts or gift certificates, is a way to make the customer feel valued and appreciated. I did this in my restaurant and true enough that customers who are given a discount are more likely to buy again, and it's a great way to increase revenue.

  1. Use Social Media to Promote Your Store

What if you could increase sales at your restaurant by simply tapping into social media? That’s exactly what I did. Using Facebook as a promotional tool, I created a page for my restaurant with a mission to help people get better acquainted with the restaurant, my staff, and the menu. This allowed me to connect to a wide range of customers that may be potential patrons of my restaurant. My page attracted 2,000 likes, 400 followers, and has had over 100,000 impressions, which means that my restaurant has received over 11,000 clicks on my Facebook page.

Conclusion

There are so many great ways to increase sales for your small business, and if you are looking for something a little different, these five ideas might be just what you need to start making some money from it!
